Opened products & use-within
Mark a product as opened and set how long it stays good afterwards. Xpiry tracks whichever date comes first — the printed one or the period after opening.

Google Drive backup

Xpiry groups products into modules. Each one brings the fields that make sense for it and its own date label — use by for food, valid until for documents, renews on for subscriptions.
- Only what you use. Show, hide or reorder modules, and set the one new products land in by default.
- Your own categories and storage locations. Each module carries its own lists, so a pantry shelf never shows up in your medicine cabinet.

How it works
Four steps, then it runs by itself
Scan or type the product
Scan the barcode or enter the name, then add a photo, category, storage location and quantity. Repeat purchases come back from the Quick-Add list in one tap.
Set the expiry date
Add the printed date, or mark the product as opened and give it a use-within period. The list stays sorted so the most urgent items are on top.
Choose your reminder
From 1 day to 3 months ahead, or your own custom period, at the hour that suits you. Xpiry notifies you while there is still time to use the product.
Let it keep the list clean
Mark items as consumed, let expired ones be removed automatically after the period you set, and back everything up to your own Google Drive.

Cloud backup
Your backup, in your own Google Drive
Cloud backup is entirely optional and off until you turn it on. When you do, Xpiry writes your data to your own Google Drive account — not to a server operated by Xpiry.
- The data is yours. It sits in your Drive, under your Google account, and counts toward your Drive storage.
- Stored in the application data area. Xpiry uses Drive's hidden app-data folder via the drive.appdata scope, so backups stay out of the way of your own files.
- Xpiry cannot see the rest of your Drive. That scope grants access to Xpiry's own application data only — no documents, no photos, no other folders.
- Reversible at any time. Turn backup off in the app, or revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.
